Wanting a pin tale gun surfboard shaped by Jim Banks in good condition, at least 2' 5/8 thick, either a thruster or quad fin set up.

I'm going on a boat trip on the Indo Odyssey in late July with Jim Banks as the captain and know that I'll make it out of more tubes if I'm surfing a board shaped by the master himself.

Price negotiable depending on condition. Will pay up to $600 cash.

So let me know if you have something suitable in WA that your not using these days, I will give it a great home and much love!

Surely there is a 'special' website for such deviances.

There was one for 200 on gumtree last week. Looked in good cond as well. Used to ride his boards in the 90s.

Yes I've seen that board on gumtree.

Unfortunately I don't think it has enough meat on it for me given my current lack of paddle fittness...

I'm sure there must be others out there not being used that want some love back in the green room.

19.5 is about as wide as you'll get for a board from the 90s I reckon. Most of em would have been in the 18s. Would probably buy that shooter myself if I could be bothered going out to duncaig.

There's one on his website, 7'3 x 18 3/4 x 2 3/4 "hit the road" quad for $425 it is in Bali though, I would think he could arrange something for you given you'll be on his tour.

If that board doesn't have enough foam and you're spending money going on a trip like that, maybe you should have worked on your paddle and general fitness a bit harder. You've got a month, get training.

Thanks everyone for the radical advice. I contacted Jim today and bought two of his old boards from his website, the 7'3 quad gun and the thicker of the two 6'2's. He is taking them onto the boat with him next week and I am mega stoked! Just in the nick of time too. I've heard his boards are magic.

I'm still healing from an ongoing lower back injury but can still surf pretty well after 15 years in the water and couldn't say no when my best mates organised this trip and asked me aboard. But you guys have inspired me to be more disciplined and hit the lap pool even harder in the month left before the trip. I will make the most of my trip of a lifetime and surf as hard as I can. Yew!!!
