What has happened to the intreped surf explorer.The surfers that grabbed a map,got in the car and set off for a weekend/week/month.......for an adventure,checking out all possible points,beaches,bays for waves.It seems now days every one wants the easy way out.Read and learn fellow surfers,secret spots are just that especially in OZZ,so do your homework and get on the road and when you find a SECRET SPOT respect the locals.

Google earth has ruined all the secret spots in the world - though who am I to point the finger I use it as well

Dont be agraid of using tech cRaZy my mate and I use his iphone GPS all the time when going to spots that we havnt been before and it works an absolute treat.

Cheating, thats your local dogman!!

A couple of years back I was in a small plane flying from perth to gero. It was a nice winters day se winds 2.5 to 3.0 swell running. i saw plenty of potential especially a right point. i jotted the long and lat down and scetched a bit of a map. pinned a service road that heads to the beach.

Ive been a bit busy with life lately (gets in the way of good surf sometimes) but one day i will check it out. there must be 100s of spots along the mid west coast that are a bit secret to say the least.

Happy hunting from the beast.

PS secret harbour is a strange name for a place with no harbour and no secret. The crowds are a bit out of control on the weekends. Had some nice ones there on Monday.
