hey guys,

I'm studying engineering at uni and trying to come up with a final year project to do.
I'm kind of keen to make a hydrofoil board (like in the link) for surfing or maybe kiting but I can't really just make it - I need a purpose or aim for it.
Anyone have any ideas??
Basically Im trying to find a way I can go surfing or kiting for uni

Arto Reef would be a good idea.
I have heard that Two Rocks Boardriders have been working on this idea for a while.
I beleive they have the backing from the Waneroo Council.

design and build a shark shield that can fit inside any board (as a retrofit) with no massive cable hanging off it.

ooo shark shield could be interesting.

Arto reef would be mad but may be a little out of my range - and perth metro is a little far away for me, might try adelaides first! although I'd need to work on a swell generator to start with

But at least on those days when we do get some swell make it's way through, we maaaay not all have to be packed in like sardines at the couple of spots that do have something for the swell to break on.
