Maybe, but you'd pay for the privilege. My guess is if they fly A32x on that route they fly the same model plane every day so there would be no way. You would have to pay for a courier or something.

But as I say, generally you're going to get the rules applied as they are at check-in and that's your ticket to getting through if you sweet talk the counter staff. Well, your best bet of all is to comply fully with the regulations and then there's no problem whatsoever.

I flew Perth to Gold Coast a couple of years ago with jetstar, I had a 6'6 bag and a mate had a 6'3 we went to different counters his got checked for length and mine didn't so could come down to luck. From memory they just ask you to put up against a pole with a 190cm mark on it so if your just over should be able to put in on a bit of an angle to get it under if they ask to check

Maybe i should just take a 6'2" and if i need buy a step up over there But then again i will struggle to then bring that home
