I didn't finish up buying one partly because they seem a little too high performance for an injured ankle I have that restricts tight radius turns, partly because the construction freaks me out for my backyard repairs.
Up north this year I saw a couple of guys riding them. They appeared fast down the line, but a little weird off the top. Of course how they look to an observer and how they feel to the surfer are often two completely different things and surfing is all about the feel unless you are a comp surfer.
