My Partner and I are thinking about moving to Perth, however having a Partner who's accustomed to quite consistent surf i am a little worried about where we should be looking at to base ourselves close enough to some consistent waves for the good ol early morning surf that i know will make him a happy man.

If you have any advise on consistent breaks preferably North of the City where we have a few mates please let me know? Im concerned we may be heading in the wrong direction and need some help being pointed in the right one. :)

Cheers

For year round consistency you need to be somewhere near the Scarborough / Trigg stretch of coast...

There's a few more options in Autumn and Winter...

Note that the metro area can have weeks on end of FLAT surf in Summer.

I actually disagree with Busselton
For a start it's about 40min from a surf beach
Get used to sitting 20km under the speed limit behind the pensioners and wine tourists
It's also in the process of being reclassified as a city
Weekends, Long weekends, Easter, Christmas and any sort of holiday are a right off
Remember the people of Perth only holiday in one of two destinations
Bali and Down South
By all means go and visit but as a place to live be a little bit more adventurous
Western Australia is a big place
Don't follow the sheep
