"Shark experts" who need more government funding because we know so little about sharks. Humanitarians who have little regard for human life. And a BS online poll portrayed to be a majority of Australian people against shark culling that I voted in favor of while I was in Japan.
Not to mention the terminology used, "shark cull" is misleading. As there is no planned shark cull, just a change in regulatory law that enables people to save a life if a shark looks to be threatening human life. As demonstrated "live" where some people were not leaving the shallows when informed there was a shark off the coast. The shark was not culled.
I don't think the people given the role to take action will respond until some poor person has already been attacked. They'll be as effective as the people given a ton of money to tag sharks, who failed to tag one shark. Yep handy fricken phone app thats gonna be attached too. This situation infuriates me, great white shark protection makes no sense at all. Clearly they are not endangered. Its just become some kinda marine biologist wankathon in the hopes of sustaining the dream job of wasting more tax payers money.
hooray some one finally summed it up in one foul swoop! love yer work

tagging has been shown to help our cause F**K all.
