You can still buy these blanks today - "Orange" from Surfblanks Australia - but be warned they are very very heavy in comparison. I made a board late last yr with one of these blanks - after approximately 20 surfs it still looks like new. But compared to my other boards this thing is heavy - noticeably so. I have several old single fins that I have / or are refurbishing - amazing how good a condition they are in after all these years. Most of the older style boards were also finished with a polish coat - not just sanded.
