been reading mags for years, since eight years of age.
now cause of work get everything that comes out.
surfing world and stab stand out.
asl and tracks are an embarrassment. waves not much better. they are like dolly or cosmo or any chick mag but aimed at a low intelligence high school kid.
same sh!t twenty years on, i stand 5'9" i have a stack higher than myself of all three.
to see how they pander to each new gen with the same old cr@p, you soon realise its about advertising and nothing more, to be an editor of a popular surf mag requires zero inteligence (sorry for the spelling i just came back from a many beers meeting) and zero inspiration. ads are on the same pages they were on twenty years ago..!!!
there are are few that make me wanna buy them and be genuinely interested...
they are: east coast, southern soul
and west coast :phuck me guys i can't think of it now, but its awesome, but both have the same format as old school tracks.
in my opinion, if you are a real surfer, you are wasting hard earned money buying anything else.
If there was no advertising there would be no magazines, very intelligent argument you have going there doc.
