The board that Tom Currn was riding is still sold with some modern tweaks as a CI black beauty

A good movie from that time was
North Shore, movie from 1987
Classic eighties, voted in the top ten surf movies of all time
I watched it the other day and has some good surfing in it, incl occy, gerry Lopez and laird Hamilton,

That was the movie that got me into surfing

Dude what I find amazing is that if you saw someone surfing like these two in the clip, you would still think they are ripping, the footage is 26 years old, but it is still perfect power surfing.I still dream of being able to bottom turn like Curren

Check out Surfvidz on Facebook and Richard Partington on You Tube, he has downloaded most of those old movies as that is his list. If you want to convert your old VHS cassette's onto DVD he is your man, I just sent him 15 movies and he payed for the postage and copied them for free so he could add to his collection. Top bloke!

Dude that list brings back some smoky,hazy memories

The Curren/Occy footage from Surf into Summer also featured on Hawaii nine-six, which I noticed is included in the list.

Love the pipe masters footage in that vid too. Slater/Machado make it look so easy.
