I shoot with a Canon 7D and 30D

Lens range from 10mm for up close and personal to 500mm if I don't want to get wet.

Do you shoot much surf VIDEO with the 7D?
Seams like an ideal kind of rig, given it's easy (albeit expensive) to get a decent housing, it shoots at 1080p and the lens interchangeability that you don't get with dedicated video cameras (unless you pay for prosumer level kit)

No, not really, the files are quite big, plus I need bigger cards than the 4Gb I use now.

Anyway the housing is made for the 30D, the 7D is a bee's d##k too big, have to do some mods to get it to fit.

What vids I have shot come out pretty good, the vid is more of a bonus, but I seen plenty of wedding video photogs that shot with the 7D

But I prefer stills, you can hang them on the wall :)
