yes for the flight, just want to bring my skateboard if thats possible. and some clothes packed in there too
i wouldn't be placing a skateboard anywhere near my boards.do you know how baggage handlers treat boards you can take anything in a plane other that DRUGS IN A BOOGIE BAG take the trucks off and pack it in your luggage Pauly.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't your surfboard check in count as your only form of checkin luggage? I'll be bringing my carry on bag and I'll be checking in my surfboard bag. (6ft in length). So I'm pretty sure you can't put a skateboard in a carry on bag so my only option is my surf bag?!?!

sounds like you are just trying to save coin, but it could come back to bite you on the arse, just saying.
Take the skateboard strapped to your backpack in hand luggage. No way on gods earth would I put a skateboard deck in with my boards. The money you save on the luggage allowance would be trebled in ding repairs.

Mate I doubt I'd be allowed to take a trickboard in carry on luggage.
If you are going to do it I'd strap the skatie on the outside of the board bag and throw a bit of padding (towel/ clothes etc) inside the cover where the skatie will be pushing on it. I reckon you should be fine this way. I always pad my board bags for good measure anyway mainly around the tail and nose

Maybe even remove all the running gear/trucks and just strap the board. Through the rest in your luggage..
I've done it before. Just take your trucks off and pad it nicely with towels and stuff. Be careful though don't put the trucks in your carry on. Mate of mine wasn't allowed to take them as they could be used as weapons. Not sure how likely that is though
I've done it before with a sector 9 . Took the trucks off a packed the deck on top of the boards with towels etc around it no dramas. The only issue I had is when they scanned my carry on it was s bit of a debacle over the trucks in there. They said it could be used as a weapon. A bit of gentle persuasion and pointing out its no more dangerous than having metal forks on board it was all good . Just don't be a smart arse with them

I got done for ding repair tape, I was told that I could tape up the pilot lol
no way would I put a skateboard in with my surfboards.
as others have said, either strap it to the outside of the boardbag, or remove trucks.
I'd also cut up some pool noodles to protect the rails, and get some heavy duty bubble wrap to protect the bottom and the deck (regardless of putting a skateboard in or not)
