Hey guys/girls,
Can anyone out there recommend an honest, experienced Shaper somewhere within a couple of hours of Rockingham, WA?
Looking to have a fish made before I go back to work so it can be ready when I finish my swing in a few months time.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dan.

Steve Del Rosso is a great shaper, not too bad of a bloke.
Lives on the GC but shapes and freights boards to WA weekly.
He is often back in WA so give the shop a call.

I'm not sure to be honest mate. Grant did my last custom and i could not have been happier. Even though i just lent it to my nephew and he smashed up the nose at lefties over chrissie.

Until you posted that I hadnt even thought of him, my mate used to get his sticks and they were always great looking boards, awesome sprays and glass jobs to boot!

I've just ordered a custom kiteboard from Dave (Katana) also. Very helpful, enthusiastic and easy to communicate with, should see the board end of the month, looking forward to it.

Doggie, Tom Hoye will be upset that others have cottoned on to "The Claw" - he won't have anything to pontificate on.
Surfboard shapers who have worked for me?

Mark Ogram at Yahoo surfboards. He does lots of fish shapes, and is happy to tweak things up for you.

Al Bean at Al Bean (AB) who is happy to do things a bit more left of center if you want something a little unusual. I reckon go to him and ask for channels, double flyers, 6' x 3", narrower nose than you perhaps think you need, and get it shaped from a big blank so that the rocker is eliminated from the ends. I have a 5'10" twin fin that got taken from a 7 foot blank so Tom Hoye could flatten it out.

Oh yeah and Tom from Precision Equip if you want something a bit old school. He won't have the board done in your time frame though.

All these guys are down south in Dunhole or Margies.
