I love those naturally occurring seaway rock walls, dregded channel and the natural beauty of wave break island.
Nope, no development there, a true pristine wilderness.
Clown.
So sorry for having a different oppinion.
Narrow minded views only for this topic!
No mate, quite the opposite of narrow minded. I just don't get sold on the crap being spun by the government on this.
For what it's worth I am more interested in the water than the land in that area. I have no real issue with development if done correctly but I strongly oppose the idea of a cruise ship terminal inside the seaway as the idea simply makes no sense.
The CST is a red herring to gain approval to develop by using the unlikely addition of tourism money to the Coast when in reality it will cost far more than it makes, in establishment and maintenance alone for its operations, in losses to real estate prices, social costs with the loss of free land and existing fishing, boating, diving, surfing and tourism in the Broadwater. These far exceed the revenues created by a CST even if it were to do extremely well, all logic tells us however that it wouldn't.
Furthermore, any development that did go ahead would be better off without the CST and its constant dredging.
For the record clown was a bit strong, I don't really think people who support the CST are that dumb, they just don't know enough about it yet to oppose.
