Hi guys

I am getting a few epoxy tuflite boards in for repair, Can you let me know if your agent there has the paint in bottles available ? i would think for airbrushing repairs

I see they have cans but i would say not a long shelf life

Your not bloody wrong there, a right pain in the ass
You would think they are done the same as any poly board well this is true but it seems to take a lot more care and the mix just right, I see on surftech they say use the bog to fill and them laminate ehhh ?? i just use q cell as normal

When you finish spraying turn the can upside down and press the button for a few seconds untill the paint stop comming out. That keeps the nozzle paint free and ready for next time

Also get a rag and put some thinners on it and clean the outside of the nozzle, that makes the spay pattern better as well

Thats all Ive got

The paint that I use is just acyrlic automotive. I wouldnt buy surftech paint specific paint, not worth it.
Freighting paint would be very expensive from the USA anyway as its looked on as dangerous goods.

If it is necessary we go to the local auto paint shop and get them to colour match and make up a couple of tins of the colour. Great for some of those weird shades of grey and blue in the tuflite range. Never had any issues of the paint hardening or going off in the can, last for years from my experience. Many of the colours are a close match to acrylic lacquer cans off the shelf here.
If the customer wants a perfect match have them pay a little extra to get the can made up.
Even if surftech did distribute cans of their colours I believe some off the colours on the boards fade a bit over the years. You wouldn't notice as it is even over the board but a can of the original would stand out.

Im repairing a white webber tufflite for a mate and the standard of the shelf white in a spray can matches almost perfectly, its a touch out but very very close.
Found this thing the worst to repair, give me a PU to repair anyday tufflite suck!!

i just use acrylic laquer also and mix the colour as needed but your right those weird light blues and greys are pretty tricky ,as far as pinholes just use kniffing putty.

does it stick good to tuflite? i would of though 2k was the only paint that could be used on tuflite
