This arrived at my door unannounced this morning....

Looking forward to getting it wet on the Points down here. Some of you might have seen it floating around in the greater Byron area...

I took it over to Doug Rogers this arvo and we are a bit dubious about the quad spread.. but we will wait and see!! We will do a board swap next session on a long right hand point...

7'10 x 21 x 3 (but it measures 20"1/2 ! Talk us through that one Bob!). Allegedly hand shaped by Bob, but it is definitely tinted.

Not a typical short board, but a nice board.... it might receive a centre box yet !! Something to play around with anyway, and keep me off the couch

(I'm 6'0 and weigh just under 90kg's, and I'm about to turn 37, and I like to stroke into waves with certainty !! )

Please explain how it got to your door unannounced?

Looks good tho, maybe a bit outta your depth as its a bit small to be a SUP

Haha Doggie!! I was surfing a long long time before I got into SUP !
A quiver of over 12 shortboards is where the excitement is for me !

It's called Vicco Point Break R&D.... To get feedback from an independent sample group !

The low down from Bob was;

- Fins set slightly forward so they are more under your back foot
- Fins set slightly more in from the rail (than usual), to help go rail to rail
- Smooth and slim through the hips / no hips - as a step-up board, for points with some juice

And it goes really well with your quality quad fins of preference.
- I like the big Merricks at the front for drive, and the 80/20 foiled GXQ in the rear which I find to be not too big, not too small, and slightly preferable over flat foils in the rear, and preferable over 50/50 foils in the rear.

I'm very impressed with it at overhead Bells & Winki. Well done Bob !
