Any tips on picking poly from epoxy.

I've read some on the difference detween the two materials but how can I pick up an old board and tell?

Also what are some of the risks of getting it wrong when it comes to repairs? Eg. Using the wrong product.

if its a tufflight its pretty easy to tell as they look totally different to PU and kinda look "plasticy". CMC will be able to fill ya in on other forms of epoxy.

BTW any idea on where i could look up some sort of a glossary type thing to help me get my head around the different terms and abbreviations tossed around regarding board constructions and materials?

If it is epoxy most boards are marked as such, if in doubt google or ask in here someone will know.

most epoxy boards have eps core which looks like coollite board foam just have a bit of a scrape at the core eps is usually very soft and large cell structure you must use epoxy resin in contact with this foam .pu foam is usually harder and a smaller cell structure like honey comb.you can use either resin on this foam. hope this helps
