If you have a reasonable amount of ding repair experience it can be done.
The biggest challenge is getting the rocker perfect. If it is even a little bit out you will notice an obvious difference in the board. You really need a shapers eye to get it right. Google will bring up quite a few very poor techniques. This site shows one of the best imho.

It's usually not worth repairing boards that have broken between your feet as they just break again. Busted off noses or breaks forward of the front foot are a better proposition. It helps to get the rocker right if you have another board of the same model, size and shaper to copy. Put a straight edge on both boards and measure the rocker to get it close as you can.
Very satisfying to recover a broken board, but time consuming. Plenty of cheap boards on gumtree means the materials cost and time invested in repairs are not so economic.
