Hi Kearnsy. You're right - I guess I do take life a bit too seriously at times on certain issues - I'm still learning to restrain my opinions. I guess there are certain issues I like anyone else feel rather strongly about but each to his /her own as they say. Anyway my email address is davnight@bigpond.com if you'd like to contact me re the CD etc . I'd like you to have it.
I'm going to make a short film entitled " Dolphin Dancer " which will incorporate a lot of surfing footage and my original music as a sound track - hence my new bike to get me to the locations cheaply.
My film idea originated from an experience I had up at Lanno which I'll never forget.
I was launching my dinghy " ThistleDoo" for the very first time to get me out to hole in the wall where I surf fairly often. I painted my Dinghy and designed and hand painted on the logo which I'd designed.
As I up anchored a Dolphin surfaced only 3 feet in front of me, turned on it's side, looked at me sraight in the eye and made a beautiful sound as Dolphins do.
I said " hello " . The Dolphin swam closer toward me. I jumped out of my Dinghy,
swam to try and get closer. The Dolphin went deeper. I lost breath and got back onto my Dinghy and watched as the Dolphin gracefully circled my boat twice and eventually swam off. I had seen children feeding what was likely the same Dolphin at the Lanno Jetty before that day but I wasn't expecting this.
It re inforced my love of surfing, it's essence, the Ocean and how very lucky we all are.
Cheers !
