SP probably one of the most iconic surf pics of all time. I reckon a fair percentage of surfers would know who is in that pic.

Mate, I'd hope so he was a true genius on a single fin. I remeber somewhere a story with MP and he said the day he saw Simon jump of the rocks with his thruster he felt like the young guys were after him so that was it, he got one in and didn't surf much again. Could be folklore?

@ swalkington. Interesting comparison, can I ask why you thought of Ando?

Ando surfs some weird snub nose boards and single fins and flies through the tube on em just like MP. He surfs that well that everyone is kinda left behind....also like MP.

the worst thing that will happen is corporate surfing grabbing this with their dirty stinking mits and steering a young generation and marketing into believing he was a 'stickered' surfer....

in his strength, he would piss on your stickers.....

Cool, I see him around a bit and just thought it was an interesting comparision but I can see why you made it
