Interested in getting advice and feedback on these two boards and especially how they compare to each other.

I have looked at both boards in the 6'2ish range and that's about the amount of volume I want in a board, but which board is better suited to a broken middle-aged mal rider who surfs mainly beachies up to head high. I have ridden shorties over the years but not for over 2 years now and have pretty much always ridden flatter and fatter fishy type boards rather than performance shapes. Any advice greatly appreciated.

They're pretty different beasts.

The Pod is more of a standard shortboard with a fuller outline in foil and rocker. A bit flatter maybe.

The biscuit is more of a retro chunker flat decked, full rail, very low rocker design. Would look very natural as a Single fin. The other one is the Fishcuit. Looks Ok also.

If you want a board purely for fun and float I'd go the Biscuit. If it was more for progressive type performance on a forgiving board I'd shoot at the Pod.

Thanks cmc. I prefer the look of the biscuit but there are some cheap pods getting about so I was hoping to be talked into the pod If I had the money I really love the new biscuit tuflite but OMG they are soooo exxxxy, and I really don't think any shortboard is worth those sort of dollars even with AM's name on it. Realistically if I wanna surf hard I am more at home on my longboard but for everyday fun on smaller beachies these boards look like they would be awesome. Volume and paddle is paramount in my needs though.

Hi i've started reading these forums occasionally lately so i guess i should contribute.
I have a 6'0 biscuit and a 6'0 lost rocket copy.
For coming off a mal i would forget about the rocket. It needs a bit of push in the swell and likes to be surfed tight in the pocket, due to its rather extreme tail rocker.
The pod vs the biscuit has been already well covered. You cant really compare a 6'2 of each board the biscuit carries a massive amount of foam, probably the equivalent volume of a 6'5 pod.
I have seen the Tokoro's and they looked like a slightly more refined version of the fishcuit and both following more of a traditional fish shape.
I am not sure who the obvious one is (maybe Murray Bourton ie fat bullet) but the Simon Anderson mollusc may also be worth looking at.
I would think from what you have said the biscuit would be most suited (unless you want it to handle sucky late take offs) its volume with flat roker combined with a heavy v bottom makes it very user friendly.
I am 6ft 90 kgs and find the 6'0 biscuit has too much volume for me and i was planning on selling it next summer. It may be shorter than what you want but if want i wold sell it for $350 its in good nick except for a ding in the tail plus i am in sunny Vic so postage may make it cost prohibitive.

Agree with the above.

I guess the other mentioned models are in the 'not to do list'

One board boxed would be somewhere around $70 I'd reckon.
