hello all
i haven't surfed dewars for a couple years
I have some midweek days coming up over next few weeks and would like to get a wave there again

can someone please let me know ( via message ) how to get in again
i had a look a couple months ago and all my old access locations were blocked

I don't want to have to drive in all the way from wilbinga cause if I do that i may as well drive three hours south or north cause it takes about the same time ( serious I did it once about a year ago to surf near the shacks and it took literally hour and a half to get in there )

Would you like my bank card pin whilst I'm at it too?

Just make sure you have a good story for the ranger if pulled over as it could become an expensive surf !
Definately stay off the dunes / beach area as it's a no go zone.
Saying that , have had some cracking waves over the years gone by !

Just a bit of context I'm over 40
i surfed it from 12-30 regularly like very regular
i moved away for a few years but last 5 or so just haven't gone there

used to surf it couple times a week and regularly by myself or with a mate especially midweek

I get the snide comments and actually appreciate them it's good to know people still have a bit of passion left but I will find my way in
no need to pm me the lack of responses has fueled the fire

and yes I know the ranger is still fining people I just wanted the most responsible access point to not piss off people living in the street/streets

The amount of people that have moved to yanchep/two rocks in the last ten years and pull the local card is beyond a joke.

we used to get into dewars with my vc commodore wagon and camp for a few days

thank you all for the absolute lack of assistance it is much appreciated

Am I going to find my way in, of course
am I irritated by the lack of response of course
well played

thank you

No offence mate but so has the rest of metro NOR and wether you'd like to beleive it or not, the trouble makers/no etiquette surfers fall into this category rather than the "new" locals you refer too (and no I have not just moved up here.). We still get our quite sessions every now and then so usually don't bother even going out when it's busy.

Unfortunately the combination of the rise of the sand bogan in their GQ patrols and ever encroaching earthworks for new houses have put major focus on that track with the council and the end is nigh (IMO). So you could understand my reluctance to reply on a public post where any "30" year long regular can get a hit on it from a quick google search.
