Hey bud I been up 3 times to kavieng area mate it's pretty fickle ha but if u get it on its crazy fun so many set ups so little people really good waves the people are amazing the fishing is Insane take a fish or fun board and you will surf everyday for sure

went up about 5 years ago around kavieng and got great waves two guys at camp heading home ddnt score until day they were leaving as we arrived.I'd go to clems place or the png trader boat.heaps of setups on little atolls etc but like any trip hit n miss with swell.insane fishing and diving and exploring if no surf.try to stay away from mainland as there's been some ugly situations with people trying to do it without contacts guides etc.epic wild crazy place on mainland but cruisy on the islands to the north.
