Replacing 3 stolen surfboards and the only way i can do this is to make them ourselves.
Can't bring myself to buy an imported board.
Looking at the price of fins/sets and I realized i was well out the loop there.
Its a whole new industry. One sixth the cost min it seems.
Looking OS at the prices.
So with postage from china i'm at about 55 dollars and
i can get 5" Surfblanks MF Thruster Set for 64 dollars at surfblanks.....surfblanksaustralia.com/
therefore i'm thinking its not worth the effort or the worry for that matter...
Seems the real money is in the fin boxs itself.
Anybody know where to get a good price on thruster/futures fin boxs or the like...
any scoop on them guys.
Thinking of using 7.2 volan cloth too for boards.
What do you think, this site needs a topic search engine too.
Over the self pity now and looking forward to this project.

There is a search function ! And it works well

Fin plugs are cheap as chips. Normally $10 for futures and $5 for imitation fcs 1 plugs.

Get a machine shaped blank finish it yourself then get it glassed and sanded by a pro. They will put the plugs in for you.

Gonna glass it myself and i've already picked the machine shaped blanks i/we want
and i have shaped a few in the past (from the blank). I'll still make it mine.
Going for futures type but as i see, its some 24 bucks (Gearbox Thruster Box Set)
http://www.surfblanksaustralia.com/shop-online/shop/fins/fin-system-plugs-accessories/gearbox-thruster-set-detail
i might sound cheap but i'm on the prime minsters surf team
and unable to secure another sponsor.
So its the cheap as life here. (except for the machined blanks of course)

See a jump to forum window but no topic window or is my computer illiteracy showing again.
Your know enter say 'resin volume per coat' and press.

Sat morning looking good
