Dear Fellow Breezers

Had what turned out be very short session at Toms this morning - I managed to slice open my hand quite nicely after two waves and as a service to myself and others, I quickly paddled in.

Worrying more about the blood p****ing out rather than my belongings, I stupidly managed to leave my board next to my car and drove off to the docs to get stitched up.

I wasn't parked at the main carpark, rather the one south of the break just near North Beach Road. I left at approx 10:45am

The board is a 7ft Fish/Funboard that is sprayed red/yellow on the top. It has MRTX fins and a black leggie.

If any one can assist with my brain fade I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers, Kerr-e

Might be worth checking with the guys building over the road from were you were parked. They seem to spend loads of time just watching i find

Hope you get a good outcome.

How'd ya slash the hand

Thanks jbshack - you are right, I was straight across the road from that building site. I did ask one of the guys, but he didn't see anything.

I think I cut my hand on the reef in the shallows, but it is so deep and clean that I suspect there was a bit of glass there.

Keep an eye out for any found posters that may have been put up in the area, maybe even at Yelo. Seams to still be some dudes out there trying to return found boards.

I nearly ran over my board the other day, it can happen to the best of us

Im going to Mandurah on the weekend so I will also keep an eye out, have you tried the shops across the road someone may have handed it in there as well.

Went back down to North Beach and then Yelo yesterday morning before work, but no luck (although it beats having a coffee in the middle of the city).

Here is a pretty crappy picture of it taken from my phone:

Hey mate, on the notice board at north beach shops there is a "found surfboard" note

Says phone Paul and I think the number was 094033052, didn't have a pen with me so the number may be wrong.

Good luck, hope it's yours.

Spot on and thanks shunter, Paul did have the board.

Unfortunately though, someone pinched the fins (FCS MRTx which are awesome) and leggie. To add insult to injury, this low life dinged the board when they were ripped out.

From what I can work out, someone took the board away between me heading off to the Docs and returning to look for it, then placed it back on the path (minus fins and leggie) after I had left for the second time.

Thanks to all posters for your help.

Sounded like that was going to be a good news story, bugger. Sounds like some prick realised your board was going to be a bit too easy to recognise and scavenged the easier to hide bits. What a dog, sorry to hear about that.

The 'glass half full' way of looking at it is that you are only up for about $70 to replace what's missing rather than $700 for a new board.

Glad you got it back.

Glad you got it back, pitty about the fins and the leash but better than no board at all. I let daughter know as it was her that spotted the sign on the notice board.
