Hi the wife and I are going to Mexico for our honeymoon in July and want a good place to stay and get good waves. She wants a resort style place to stay.

Palladium Resort Puerto Vallarta....... not epic waves but it has a good right rocky reef and short left out front of the resort. All inclusive resort. I lived in Puerto Vallarta for 15 mths a few years ago and worked at this resort for a while....... It is hard to get resort style accom with epic waves in Mexico, Usually one or the other because seppos going on holiday want the resort on a beach they can swim in .....ie no waves and the epic surf spots dont ant resorts..........Palladium is a happy mix.

Hey thanks for the reply. Is there other close breaks around? Could I go off for a day trips and get some different waves?

There are a couple of other waves close by and some decent scuba diving too. If you get a decent south swell, which is typical at that time of year, the wave out the front is really fun, not heavy barrels but long rippable walls

you could also look at Cabo San Lucas, I know they get good waves and have higher end luxury resorts too, haven't been myself though.
