Doing a boat trip with Liquid Destinations in April but due to time constraints have to fly over the day before. So asking any punters if they have been/know of any reasonably priced accommodation next/near to the airport. Don't want to be heading over the water for the night only to be travelling back with my gear the next evening to catch up with the boat. Thanks.

The Maldives airport is a separate island, so wherever you stay, you'll be heading over the water. The capital Mali will have some accommodation sites. Have fun on your trip though.

My memory is a little hazy but try to stay on the airport island as its connected via a long road. I stayed about 15 mins drive near the beachfront and it was fine, the most important thing was to have transport to the hotel and back to the airport/boat

Avoid getting the ferry and staying on the main island, its not at all pretty and I couldn't get off there quick enough

Thanks brownie49. Have booked on the airport island for the night so happy with your confirmation. I've been on the main island as well so I know what you're talking about. It was the end of a previous trip and we were all cruising but it was interesting to see another culture and it also reminded us we couldn't live in a better place.
