Swapped a dusty board for a 6'1 x 19 3/4 x 2 5/8 round tail, domed deck, medium rail, futures boxed, white bottomed, woody topped Katana with Blackstix V2's yesterday and surfed a lumpy bumpy overhead chunky left today. Really happy with the board...then came home & the missus surprised me with toasty sandwiches when I got out of the shower. Life is good

I drove a little further to a left reef break at a spot I reckon you may know well and scored fun waves with a few crusty locals.

The young frothers invaded this arvo and showed no regard for the old fella trying to get a few quiet waves after a hard day at the salt mines. I didn't have an ounce of hassle in me. Or revenge.

So without much hope today I awoke at 630 (45 minute sleep in compared to week days) went down to trigg scabs stretch and took the Maldives out with me mate.....
didnt expect much, pretty straight than a rip formed and snared a good half a dozen barrels in and out lefts and rights for 40 minutes,,,humans gathered and everyone paddled over the rip dissapeared I got one more tub, came out and rode it to the beach...
probably the funnest surf I've had locally for a couple months,,,, 40 minute window

I hope the drive was worth it. As Razz says, the local stretch, while not big nor all-time, was pretty damned clean and fun for the morning.

Debate has never been their strong point, they seem to prefer to just swim around and eat ****.

So I slept in till 730 and when I looked at the camera it was sort of glassy but the ocean was covered in ants hundreds of them.........

My three questions
1) was there a comp on?
2) are we back to kook season
3) it wasn't that good metro ,,, why the panic?

maybe I'm out of line here but please tell me otherwise

I was one of those ants. It wasn't to bad this morning. It was good Yesturday arvo. Easy double the size usual crew.

I like the idea of be respectful to the locals??
