No surf yesterday and I know this isn't a fishing forum but I scored a day out on me mates boat and bagged out on the sand whiting all good size specimens with a couple mixed other fish caught and released, the amount of juvenile pinkies around was amazing however this all happened at least 6-8 nautical miles out
inshore the water is still filthy from all the run off in the swan. I didn't think it would be that bad but it was filthy and we were all the way up near Scarborough trigg and a few miles out. You can't really see it from the beach and the water is clean near shore. There was no fish in the dirty water at all yet a mile or two away there was plenty, it's like the filth from the river is sucking the oxygen or polluting the water that much all the fish bail. A true dead zone, the spots we tried within the filth which produced good fish in prior days out produced 0.
what have we done to the swan????
May as well talk about something, theres certainly no surf to keep us entertained !!
Mmmmmm pan fried delicious delicate whiting.............
