Haven't had a chance really. Went for a hunt this morning and just waiting for the tide to swing.

Might see if any photogs want some cash for pics.

Ive been renting boards which is a bit disappointing; not exactly spoilt for choice. I didn't bring mine as I was climbing in the Sierra Navada before coming here.

Is that around Sagres

Nah a few hours north of there.

Swell has flattened out today. Still a few chest highs around but probably wont bother. There's a decent karting track nearby so might just use the down time to train there.

Dreading the return to Perth

Well I'm gonna fly home.
Has it been as bad as it always is this time of year? I take it my local is a pond these days...

Went to spot last week, it was a we'd Thursday.
Few observations, there was 14 people out it was cross shore and ordinary, that didn't stop them from dropping in on each other, snaking and behaving like floggers. Seen heaps of waves get ruined from people crushing the lip and snaking each other...it was waist height maybe chest on the sets..
There was no ettiqutte,
I didn't go out I sat in my car for twenty minutes thinking about how as a kid we would camp there catch a fish and surf from Friday to Sunday and see half a dozen or at most a dozen people, over 2 -3days.............
WTF
I couldn't go out, I haven't been in the water for 3-4 weeks cause of work but my one day off and full ****ito line up.
Is this just me??? Do others drive away in disgust???? I can deal with crowds but,,,.....

Hmmm... not metro Perth. Very average out at the southern end of Trigg 3rds. Crowd was OK, but there was too much south in the wind. There was a fattish bank off the rocks in front of the dunny block that was throwing up a few chest high waves that held up, but it was very crowded.

Nice to get wet though...

Mine was small, only knee to waist high, but the good news is my springy still fits me, even nearly 10 kilos heavier than last year But it was tight

Scored a few fun ones today between the wonk and close-outs at Perths favourite beachie.

Crowd was pretty light compared to usual numbers.

Saw one of the old stagers on a longboard collide with a shortboarder in a moment of kookery. Old mate split the webbing between two of his fingers, and the shortboarder had his thruster turned into a twin. Not the best way to start your friday...

Its a bit hard to defend someone who's not wearing a leggy. You should have one on at all times unless you're the only one in the lineup!

Nah mate, on this occasion it was a white mal, but I reckon i know the bloke you're referring to.

Probably late 50's,dark hair, wears a flappy cap, hates legropes, but loves a chat and a cheeky drop in. Has a teenage son who hassles like a brazilian on his first day in Bali.
