Im sure it has been debated before, but what are peoples theories?

I generally put over as worried im going to stretch steamer leg OR tear at seam

BUT means cant go too tight, and cant go too loose as then it slips down to ankle and spins n gets spazzy.

I have tried both, under the leg lets water up but you don't get the swollen ankle look. My new wettie is good and does not flush so much it goes over the wettie now.

Never debated before. It's a no brainer.

haha good question mate...I used to tuck it under, but always have it over now. I thought I was more slipstreamed with it under, but these days riding modern board shapes wider with less volume its not so much a concern.

I like it over the wetty for the main reason when you get rag dolled it doesn't feel like it's trying to strip the ankle down to the bone. Maybe ask the hipster cool kids what's the in thing to do now , I'm out of touch

Pretty sure that's "no leggy" from what I can tell of the vids coming out of Noosa / Byron!

i know the old schoolers on solid margies had no leggiez but it would've been long swims. No thanks

No leggy

I didn't know this was a thing. My wetty doesn't go all the way down to my foot. There's room to put a leggy on my ankle, so it does not interfere with the wetty. I'm not tall either.

I think when I started surfing the velcro on the leggy that came with the board occasionally came undone, so I strapped it under for security.

I tried under this morning, but felt cold.
Maybe it was just colder today...
Could not sit in the right spot. prob why i was cold, lots of waiting, not much surfing or paddling
I liked the description on swellnet: Theres a little bit of morning sickness with slightly lumpy sections.

If you've ever had to undo ya leggie in a dodgy situation you do not want it under your wetsuit

Now that I am a "over " I'll let you into the dark side.........if you want to apply "under"it's not really under drag the suit up the leg a touch and apply to the bear skin and drag back down as far as the suit moves...........
