i had a knee arthroscopy (trimming of the knee cartilage) last week and was surprised to hear how many people have these done. My goal is to be back in the water in 3 weeks and as the procedure being so common, i might find people on the forum that have had this done and could offer post op strengthening exercises. Ive also heard that you can stuff it up again if you push it to hard.any suggestions?

my mate - who is a surfer - had it done about 8 weeks ago and has not yet ventured back out despite there being some good surf - so three weeks might be a bit keen.

He reckons cycling was good for it...

I had it done when I was 19, I was doing alot of waterskiing at the time and I was back after 8 weeks. Mine was bad as I had split catilage so I only have half of it left now, seems to be ok after 20 years
