Looking very sharp in the final, I thought Parko had him for a while but you can never rule out Slater when he is in form like he is at the moment.

Even Fanning had him on the ropes and he still came back.

Next stop Bells, can anyone stop the old man?

Love how the judges now throw high 8s n 9s a one big manoeuvre. The surfers can now go for massive carves hacks n airs, makes for pretty good heats. Stopping Slater will be up to Parko, Fanning, Wilson and with the big hack criteria- the Spartan is now in with a show.

How was the " super heat" with bugs v gilmour v Ando v Reynolds.......great idea I hope other comps follow.

I was spewin I missed that super heat, work gets in the way of all the good things

you can still watch it on heats by demand - although i don't know whether Dane Reynolds actually surfed in the superheat (must admit i only viewed the waves noted) Rabbits wave at the end was great

How was Rabbits drop on that wave.

Reynolds I think got second behind Steph in the heat which was voted on by the online viewers. Jordy third.

Actually I found it a really boring comp very repetitive. Until the final day which was awesome

Watched Kelly's and Mick's heat, i loved how they'd surf right up to the ski. One of Kellys he actually stepped of his board to the ski

Kelly does seem to be fired up again, but would have loved an all Aussie final

I might have to find Bugs heat and watch that one..

I thought the comp was great. Waiting for the call in the morning added to the drama. You cant complain about the waves or the surfing. Good tele.

yep a great turn that one.....but I really loved the KS turn after exiting the tube on his 9.83 in the final - that was insane!

KS for 12 - more than likely I reckon....my thinking prior to this comp was that JJF would go close this year.
