Hardly bother posting in here anymore but this made me laugh prob what the jakes locals deserve anyway they are pricks to get a wave off
Gnaraloo on other hand would be absolute stupidity to hold it there

Both of these waves were deliberately put by Huey miles and miles away from civilisation.
I really don't want either of those waves broadcast worldwide, I don't care that they are world class, go back to Margie's, that's the wave the tour was given and if they don't like it don't hold it in this state.
It's rough enough locking down north point as well ,

My initial thoughts too, first went there mid 80's and it wasn't exactly share the waves then.

I think it was about a decade ago The Search was looking at going to Gnaraloo and there was a pretty big protest against it and the idea got canned. Epic waves up that way but Margs really is the perfect venue for the event with the surrounding infrastructure and tourist attractions.

Well there's nowhere to lock down if Jakes doesn't turn it on. Next stop IS either Margs or north of Carnarvon.
It is a stupid idea, for a lot of reasons.

They should try Surf Point a bit further north - Brazilians would like it there!
