My board is 5'8, 21" wide. Love to ride it, can catch green waves, white water, bottom turn and learning my top turn on it. This is where my issue comes in. Every time I go for my top turn my front foot is so close to the nose the board sinks in and I lose my power.

Is this a position fault of mine or should I be looking at a slightly longer board for my turns? I'm at the stage where this is what I'll be working on.
And if so - what length?
Also should I go custom or still buy second hand (which i've been doing for the last 2 years)

thanks

Problem; your front foot is too close to the nose. Doesn't seem like a board problem.

Poo stance, perhaps?

Yep. Back foot should be over your fins, feet no more than shoulder width (or a smudge wider) so your hips and legs are loose and flexible in compression, extension and rotation.

If ta standing close to the front you can glide but if you stand near the tail you can turn, somewhere between the two is the happy medium.
buy a skateboard and drop in on a ramp or down a hill. That is how far you feet should be apart, where about a on the board is what you have to figure out
