Does anyone know first hand how to get water out of epoxy boards?

Does the water pool under the ding or disperse through out the board due to the open cell nature of the blank.

I have heard of:
Pulling out the vent plug and pressurizing the board to about 5psi.
Heating up the ding with an open flame. No thanks!
Centrifuge and drilling a hole at each end. My Board is 9'11". Love to see it done!

I suspect it has been sucking small amounts of water over a long period.

Interested to hear your thoughts.

Yes
Except make that a month not couple of days, it does disperse well.

you will never get it all out unless blowing warm dried air from one end to the other ata VERY low pressure /flow (easy to pop a board).

Search for the threads here in windsurf forum it comes up again and again

water p155es out of epoxies if you leave them as smicko says but in a warm environment. I put mine in the sun for a bit they get real hot - but some might delaminate - havnt had this problem myself

always know when ive got a hole somewhere in my boards, the trip back from wherever with board in bag on roof - boardbag ends up saturated - or coming home from overseas - pressure in cargo bay forces water out and same result for boardbag.

you can also use a small fish tank pump set on a very low pull and leave for a couple of days in a warm dry environment, with value open. Pump sucks out air + water and draws in warm dry air

suction has a low risk than pumping air from the other end - less chance of delam as it can be controlled better

Yeah i think it would be WP. But i just wasn't sure. Its more a light crazed look than actual damage..I may still get it looked at..

Thanks to the guys who had some useful suggestions, they are appreciated.

To the tread stealer that asked a question he knew the answer to. I think you have surfed my wave before "drop in boy".
