Is it just me or has this been a pretty average spring in regards to metro surf? I don't remember the banks being this bad nor such lack of swell in the last previous years. At the same time, just got back from Indo so I guess, standards have been set pretty high.

What are you guys doing to keep yourselves going or ready enough in the case if we suddenly get a pulse of swell or good conditions?

Have a couple new boards simply gathering dust and it is getting to me!

Went straight from Winter to Summer I reckon - not much of a spring.

All time winter straight into a dismal but early summer pattern..

Not surfing for a while - aggravated a back injury so not minding no waves at the moment - been fishing a bit. Just have to be near the ocean in any capacity!

Over east our Spring has been terrible, following on from a very average winter as well. Winter was full of nice clean waves almost every day but we only had one real decent swell with any size to it. We had a very mild winter temp wise and have had more rain in the last 48 hrs than the previous 3.5 months. Well overdue some favourable wind and swell conditions. Oct/Nov/Dec are the worst 3 mths of the yr over here so not expecting much sadly.

Spot on Benny - I got the 3 board quiver and have not been found wanting no matter what the conditions are. Best thing I did was force myself to get used to long, short and in between boards!

I spent a lot of spring overseas & had some fun waves. Nothing special in not the best conditions & it was similar locally with a lot more wind from the wrong direction than normal. But that direction wind had some other places that don't usually get much wind from that direction, cranking. Had fun waves since I've been back, mostly a bit small. But yeah same-same, been out on some longer boards & had fun with no-one else out or just a few other crew. Sometimes days like that can be more fun than when its going off & everyone's out there

I have been looking forward to summer a little TBH. Last year at my local we had a killer bank and the kids and i had a ball often with a group of friendly locals.

Tonight was a great taste of hopefully whats to come

Sadly would kill for a decent shoulder plus peeling right ATM
