First came by this from a WA site (Bunbury Mail) which was not working for me, so did a search. Found the first vid on the above link which I thought was petty cool. Then this second video I believe was the video I was looking for & actually entwined in the first vid. Shark is tiny, maybe 6 feet give or take a foot...Look at the headline & the video that accompanies it.

"A NSW Government drone has captured the moment a great white shark stalks unsuspecting surfers at Lighthouse Beach, Ballina, in the state's north. The footage was shot by the NSW Department of Primary Industry over summer as part of the government's $16 million shark management strategy."

So $16 million was spent filming various sea animals & a very small shark. Then presented to the public with audio that evokes ???

Filmed in Ballina I think this is nothing more than greeny propaganda missrepresenting a very real & present danger in times outside of summer when Joe Bloe summer beach enjoyer & Mr Grey Suit are statiistically least likely to meet. A lot like when the "WA Shark Cull" happened.

Its a very good example of how tax payers money is spent attempting to look like something is being done. I mean like $16 million dollars was spent. Should of got heaps done with that right? Yeah we got a really nice aerial view of dolphins, stingrays & a little shark man. Even got 44,000 views on Youtoob (which is fark all BTW).

Really $16 million dollars doing fark all...& presenting us with a beautiful creatures video.

I'll try to end on a happy note...but seriously people, do not be fooled. Very little is being done in the East & nothing in the West with the exception of Katana's self funded no help from the government www.rpela.com/ research.

"It's insane," said Dr Ken Collins, senior research fellow at the UK's National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. "There is a hierarchy in the natural world for a reason. If you kill all the sharks and the lions, the world would be a poorer place. Who has a God-given right to be in the ocean - the sharks or the surfers? I side with the sharks."

I know who I side with you pommy hell kook...& the fight is far from over

Wow, even though the heading is a bit misleading its pretty hairy footage.

If it was a bully could still have done damage at that size!

The shark clearly has a look and changes its mind. I asked the question on another page if anyone knows the surfer? It would be interesting to know if he was wearing a electronic device of any kind
