Morning all,
I,m flying Denpasar to Jakarta then on to Padang with Garuda.
They are telling me it is 2 boards max!!
I am taking 3 sticks and can't get a straight answer out of them.
All up the 3 boards are in 1 bag at weigh 19kg. I will have no other checked baggage.
Anyone know the story?
Thanks in advance

I flew with them last year and had three boards in one bag. No worries at all. I seem to remember the website saying two. But I went with 6 boys and we all had 3 sticks.

I forget the limit...but I took a 9'1 longboard well padded in a 9'6 board bag & 2 shortboards in a double boardbag last January.

Garuda what a pain they are..............I was trying to watch Game of Thrones and the hosties keep haselling me with drinks (of any type), food more drinks more food then they want to land the plane while the show is still running FFS.

Boards are not an issue in one bag it will be treated as sports equipment international (check but I think that means another 23 kg in allowance) just domestic drops back to 20kg I think but if you carry some RUP just pay the desk and you can back the truck up if you like.

Garuda rocks.

I think this is the latest in the fleece the Aussie saga. Susi air have also introduced the 2 board policy. You are allowed 20 kg for your boards, you are allowed 2 fat boy long boards up to about 8 ft but 3 light weight 6ft boards in the 1 board bag are no go. WTF. Doing a Indo trip with Susi Air next month so be interesting to see how it goes.

Garuda international are pretty good these days.
But Domestic is saying 2 boards max

So you have nothing to worry about if you check your luggage in Australia. Domestic flights that come with an International ticket hold the same luggage allowances

Flew Garuda yest domestic with tripple board bag and extra bag checked in - 3 of us with similar gear - no extra luggage charges - just smile nicely. Great flight until we get to our destination 4 hrs late and without our boards - aghh - apparently they will come tom - let's hope!
