Anyone riding one of these? Thoughts?

Looks a fun shape, maybe a bit Hypto krypto ish . I like the square tail of the AB though, makes more sense to me.

Have seen the Machado clips but he could surf a fence picket...

Thinking of pulling the trigger on one.

Not ridden one but it looks to me like it would be a fun board in beachies and softer waves with out the wave range of some of the other FW range. Will all come down to the type of waves you spend most of your time on I reckon. I could see it being a very useful board but for me I am pretty happy with the Evo so no need for me. The Evo is the most versatile board I have ever surfed. From good waist high waves to double overhead hollow monsters it does everything you could ask of it and more.

I concur Ted, EVO has become my go to board for nearly everything, I struggle now to find a place for my other FireWires in the quiver...EVO does it all

I ride one, since July. A 6'2 and usually as a quad. Fav board I've owned. Will buy again.

Usually surf Perth metro but have used down south and it's gold.

Have had a 5'2 as my go to metro board for all of last winter. Rode it in everything from ankle high reef to over head beachies.

Hands down the most versatile groveller I've owned, and after months of use and abuse, still looks brand new.

It will be in the boardbag for the April Sumatra run.

Cheers for the feedback, very helpful indeed.

After checking out the Evo and reading Ted and Andy T (plus other) raving reviews, Have decided to go with the Evo.

Have taken a leap of faith and ordered the 5'8, comes in at 35 litres which is around the usual volume I ride.

Will keep the Almond Butter on the back burner for now, see if Santa returns any earlier next year
