You wouldn't go there for a surf trip but it works well for a family holiday with a few waves thrown in..
they have a few boats and they go at different times of the day depending in the surf conditions and tide.
Some of the places are to shallow to surf on low tide.
Most days they have an early boat about 6am when we were there and a later boat after lunch.
The arvo one didn't always run cause most people surfed in the morning.

www.plantationisland.com/activities/surfing/ The main problem is they kinda choose where you are going and only go to that one spot. The morning was mostly cloudbreak, Wilkes or restaurants when we were there and the afternoon was Namotu.
The other cost you don't see advertised anywhere is they charge you extra for a board on the ferry to the Island and if you are flying air fiji they sting you as well for having a board.
But still a great relaxing spot and the waves are excellent.
