Why would you bother with the effort of shaping and glassing a nice streamlined lid when you're going to ruin all the goodness of it by lying on your guts and dragging your legs and a big arse set of flippers behind it. It's a bit like buying yourself a new Al Merrick and tying a shopping bag to the back fin.

yeah mate theres a mob making them theyre called bodhi or boodhie boards or something simmilar goodtime in brissie have one. they have a huge double concave in them its massive.

its all about the way you use your fins in a fish like motion to propel yourself into the deepest part of the wave whilst looking like a fool who never had a go at progreesing into a decent surfer.

they used to be a big fad in the yamba area

country style surfboards pumped out heaps of them back in the late 80's

they even had a division in the pipie beach comp i think

even paul witzig that filmed all down the line used to ride one with glassed on "handle bar set up" so he could hang onto it

and yes i've even got one in the shed that a mate scored at a garage sale years ago

we would ride it standing up and pop ollie 180 shuve-its on it (skateboard style)

now i only use it to kiteboard on for the hell of it
