Feelings about getting back in the water!

Hi guys,

What are your feelings about paddling back out after the weekends tragic circumstances? I'm curious, my mate is **** scared, me.....i dont try to think about it to much.

Personally, it doesn't bother me what so ever.

didnt give it any thought. if you go in thinking about it, you mightnt actually enjoy being out there. i was the only one out with good waves at albany a while back and i almost psyched myself out of the water, very much unnecessarily. make him catch some waves and soon he'll forget about it. is he scared about driving his car? probably not. statistically he should be far more scared of that than going in the water.

My view: you got one life, why waste it hiding behind a wall of fear. Although this view hasn't held me in good stead it's allowed me to live my life. Otherwise I'd still be a footy playing bloke worried about being a kook with no knowledge of how great that feeling is of paddling out there in the ocean (shark or not) and catching a wave.

When your time comes, it'll come. Do you want to look back in thinking 'I shoulda paddled back out' or 'meh, their better be a beach whereever I'm going'?
