Just took a peak at the latest and greatest from Firewire. If that's not a direct rip off of Paul Fishers " dick" board it's pretty bloody close. Soon we will have to have nut sack shaped tail pads ??

It's a bit like the Meyerhoffer, but somewhat more phallic. Having said that though, isn't every surfboard design a ripoff of another design?

How would you go about copyrighting such design? Do you base it upon the sack or the head?

The legal aspects alone ..... (wait for it)....would cave your head in and drive you nuts

Pushing the boundaries of design? OR just marketing tactics to sell more boards?

There's been plenty of DIS-cussion of it on other forums.
The one thing that's a given is most of the key elements have been done before years ago by various board builders.
Whether Firewire can pull off good sales of this phallic looking board (pun intended) is yet to be seen.
Seems like hp surfboard design has been largely stagnating so its good to see Tomos and now this corniche challenging the narrow parameters of hp board principles.

Some of those great surfers could ride anything and rip.I'd like to see an average guy surfing it in sloppy conditions?

That's exactly what they should do
As seen in the surf vid Fairbits the pros can ride a door and make it look semi functional
