I have a set which were given to me, outsides M, rear S. Sorry, dont want to give them away at this stage. Just replying to hear your opinion on these fins? Why do you want them so much?

I have only tried them on my fish once or twice in crappy conditions so cant really say to much about them. They have an extreme cant, which technically should make them suit loose surfing but slightly slower acceleration.

Don't see anyone using them, including pro's...was wondering if more of a gimmick rather than performance fin?

Im also interested in how they go, Colin Earle (shaper) was using the side fins medium with a PC5 in the rear for a while but I have noticed that he has gone to the K3.0s in Performance Glass.

Didnt ask why but interesting to find out why tho..

After using these fins hard to go back to a normal fin, dont know whether they just suit my boards because they are small or suit a concave bottom or what, but they have heaps of drive,
my boards get through ridiculously flat sections, they are loose but not skittsy, release unreal of the top and because of their extra splay they allow you to go so far over on the rail and still hold in.
I started using them on my kite board and they made such a difference i threw them on my surfboard and just luv em.

FCS are releasing the H2 in the regular Glassflex material. Will be heaps cheaper than the current ones, I think they are coming in August, haven't got the full details on me at the moment, can tell more in the morning.

i think they are a gimmick, i tried them a couple of times when i used to work at a surf shop and never got into them, BUT i only rode them for a couple of sessions. my back fin kept vibrating and making a humming sound and they felt really foreign and jittery pumping along the wave. i heard that putting a regular fin like a pc5 at the back makes them ride a bit smoother. if you want a fast set of fins my advice would be something with a bit of base like the am2 or pc5. or redlines if your a bit heavier,
ps i heard the guy that designed them doesnt even surf
and the cant is to give you MORe hold on the rail.

im only a light weight so maybe they suit for that reason, dont really know but they def work for me.have tried several other models of smaller fcs fins and they feel fine but the h2 just have a definite positive feel for me.each to their own i guess.

I had a board set up with H2 large sides and a 3D red tip for quite a while.

This board went well, for how weird it all looked though it surfed normal.

Many people that prefer flex in their fin tips do not get along with the H2. They are thick and very stiff. This is why as above it was mentioned to use a normal fin in the centre. The benefit in the foil and cant comes from the front.

The real benefit of the H2 project was the science and foil research with tank testing, NASA foils etc etc that came from it. Since this time FCS has applied the best working foils to all of their newly released fins. Eg check the foil on the Stretch quad fins, it is simply perfect. The fin looks very different to a H2 but it is the research that went into the H2 that has influenced it.

I still use this fin now. It is a drivey little sucker so if I have a shorty that seems to lack a bit of punch from the tail I will put it in to add drive and tail stability. I have had quite a few new boards of late so it's great to have a range of fins to get them dialed how you like them.

It holds really well. Not really a great fin if you are into flat slides etc.

I also have those side fins with the wings (3DS) also, I am yet to use all 3 at the same time but it would be a very interesting experiment.
