Hey just wondering if any one else gets heaps of flem when they surf and need to continually spit to clear your throat when your out, this never used to happen to me but is starting to get worse to the point where it almost makes me dry reach cos it gets stuck at the back of my throat . Just wondering if its just me I used to think it was just the salt water clearing my sinuses but it happens every time in the water any hints would be awesome and no I'm not smoking buckets in the car park before I go out

Are you drinking coffee or having milk with cereal for brekky. I get a bit flemy if I do that before a surf & it has made me dry reach coz its so thick n stringy coming up lol.....my main thing after a surf is all the water pouring out of my nose after a good size session.

Well, thats a party stopper right there!

But seriously beerdead is on the mark, if it is something that has progressively over a period of time been getting worse, then have it checked out at your local GP.

Going through it myself atm. Scary ****!

I have had increasing difficulty clearing my throat for a while, but didn't really think about it until I got and enlarged gland under my jaw.

You don't need to be a smoker. HPV is a virus, which anyone can get. I am a relatively healthy and fit 62 year old, but anyone can be susceptible.

Stay well.

Went to a gp and got no answers, except he thought it could be to do with something like hey fever type allergies and told me to try clarityne or something like that so will see how that goes. I'm sceptical because generally I don't have a problem with that sort of thing and it cost me $70 for a two minute conversation, the gp didn't check anything , my next question are gp's relevant anymore
