i dont get it. it looks like they dont 3d print the board only a scale model which they then scan and cnc?

I don't get it either hence the reason Im keen to know if anybody's had any experience with them.

I'm looking at it as a wY to try new shapes and sizes without dropping a bomb with your local shaper.

And for that price, I'd check out a custom board too.

Hi all, sorry I didn't join in the conversation earlier. We can make any shape and size board with pretty much any graphics you want. We use 3D printing technology to make a model of the board from which a sample board can be 'printed'. Manufacturing of the board is done by 3D CAM processes using laser cut blanks and hand finished. Our recommended kite boards are made with a bamboo laminate top, core and base for extra strength and 3 layers of 4ounce fibreglass on top and 2 layers on base (4+6 ounce). But this is all 100% customisable.

Boards are pretty light givenEPS foam core.

We will be down at Kurnell, South Sydney, on Sunday at the NSW Kite Boarding Association season opener if you fancy coming down to try out a board. We would love your feedback too (good or bad) as we want to provide top quality products at a good price point.

interesting that Jason has jumped on here after trying get a kickstarter happening on swaylocks... the funded idea of stealing designs from professional shapers, to help his business grow.

I suppose he got negative press there, so try another popular forum and push it.. I wouldn't call it 3d printing? More like basic CNC... and produced in China? Never seen one of there boards, so can't say much, but Id rather give our local shapers my money.

Hi Gary the problem with your chinese surfboards is that core surfers would not be seen DEAD on a Disrupt or a Sanctum or an East Coast Surfboard or any of the chinese boards. You look like an english back packer ie total looser.

These boards suit entry level surfers such as back packers down at Bondi but as soon as you know whats going on in surfing you would not buy another one.

Look at GSI, 7S brought out high performance shortboards this year, how many are being ridden by good surfers? I have not seen any at Manly or Freshwater and they are two of the most crowded beaches in Australia.

$350 chinese boards are not good for anyone.Best of luck stealing peoples designs mate...
