Hello

Just contemplating between a FW go fish or a DHD mini twin.
I like what FW do with their boards and the whole environmental aspect however i did have a evo which had a big delamination problem after one ding which was removed from the water as soon as it was found. It was also hard to find someone who would confidently repair it also.
I like the DHD also and a fan of supporting OZ shaper.
Both look like they perform pretty well.

Just looking for someone else's input.
cheers

If your looking at a twin fin speak to chris Garrett from phantom surfboards. I got his luxe twin 5'8 with glassed in fins a couple of months ago. Hands down the best board I have ever ridden in 1-6 foot surf, so fast and super responsive. From phone call to delivery took 4 weeks and he is an absolute legend to deal with

Thanks Nathe,

I'll have a look at that.
Appreciate it. I can see he is a Gold Coast shaper also which is not to far from me.

I'm tossing up between a go fish and a lost puddle fish for this summer... leaning towards the PU puddle fish as I'm hard on boards and the LFT construction doesn't seem very durable for the premium price tag.

I got a 5'9" Go Fish 2 weeks ago as an alternative board for when the waves here in Sydney are 2-3 foot. Didn't want it as a groveller and it does need a little bit of push. Will go in 1-2 foot as long as it's got a bit of suck.

It actually even handles overhead stuff (had it in up to solid 4 foot) with ease and has insane speed once it gets up and planning if you surf it like a twinny/fish should be. Even had a few barrels on it. Paddles well for it's size also.

Funnily enough the DHD mini would have been my other choice but never ridden one.

Re the LFT construction, it is fine as long as you don't snap them. I have broken 2 - both in waves that would have broken a light weight PU, but they are pretty durable for a light weight construction. The pain is if you ding them they will take water, so a quick seal is important.

I freaken love it so far.

Thanks i do like the Garry Mcneil boards also.
Starting to debate between that and the mini twin now.
where i go can be rocky and the LFT is a bit worrying if it gets cracked as Goatman mentioned.
