IMO the Eddie Aikau win he had earlier in the year laid down the platform for his World Championship tilt, obviously being Australian and from the Central Coast I would of preferred to see Wilko with Micro get it but unfortunately the old Wilko creeped back in mid year.

Congrats all round, and to Tyler and Micro too, my parents had a holiday house at Culburra so I have a soft spot for Tyler.

Both John John and Tyler demonstrated they were the best surfers this year hands down.

He cost me cashola last year but made up for it this year. Just wish I had loaded up a bit more after Wilko's second victory ! Probably never get $7 for him again

Just seen the start of the KA heat - do you think he should have been penalised for that tangle up? On another day they might have punished him for an interference. But not when destiny was on its way
