Didn't think we were gonna get one this year but this girl seems to be making all the right moves.

At this point I'll take anything ..a seagull farting would probably produce more swell then we have had this summer

At the very least we can finally be assured of some ****ing North in the wind.

The lack of NE'ers this summer has been unusual as have the near constant southerlies. I reckon I've had more onshore/cross shore sessions this summer than good offshore ones. I know you're hanging for some north in it smicko after your dreadful run of road trips. At the very least it gives you some hope for the week which is more than we've had.

If it hugs the coast, maybe just warm enough to keep it spinning. Mind you that rules out just about everywhere except the northern Capes region as far as suitable winds go.

It might pull down a heap of warm water with it too and fuel itself.

Fingers crossed it grows and gets angry and sits a coupla hunjy off the coast. Swell forecast for Exy is gnarly.

I want to be positive but I don't think the SST will keep it going for long enough.

even though it looks like the cyclone is going to make landfall before seeing the south facing part of the coast, is there still chance the wind away from the centre will send something our way? undoubtedly a nnnnnw swell, but what are the chances?

slim to none

Given how close to the coast it is, it would have to be south of Dirk Hartog for the areas south of kalbarri to get anything imo.
